Pinta is senior legal counsel in the Medical Malpractice group at Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers. Prior to joining the plaintiff’s bar, Pinta practiced at one of the few firms retained to defend medical malpractice claims and college complaints for physicians. She has a unique perspective on the Canadian Medical Protective Association having worked for many years on behalf of the association and its physician clients. Wanting to help individuals who have been seriously injured, she joined the plaintiff’s bar in 2013 to work almost exclusively in the area of medical malpractice.
Pinta acts on behalf of plaintiffs on all types of medical malpractice claims including obstetrical negligence, surgical negligence, delayed diagnosis of cancer and catastrophic brain injuries arising from medical negligence. Pinta helps individuals successfully pursue claims against doctors, nurses, hospitals, hospital employees, clinics and other health care institutions in Canada. She also acts for those catastrophically injured through occupiers’ negligence, motor vehicle accidents and product liability. Pinta has appeared as co-counsel in the Superior Court, Divisional Court and Court of Appeal.
Pinta graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2005 with a focus on Litigation, Disputes and the Administration of Justice. While at Osgoode, Pinta won the Dickson Medal as the top oralist of the Gale Cup Moot. Pinta was called to the Ontario bar in 2006 and is a member of the Advocates Society, the Medical-Legal Society, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
